About

Talking Point Speech and Language Therapy provides specialist assessment and therapy for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties following stroke, brain injury, and other neurological conditions.

The practice is led by Ellie Alborough, a Speech and Language Therapist with over 10 years’ experience specialising in adult neurology across both the NHS and independent practice. Ellie has extensive experience supporting adults with complex communication and swallowing difficulties. She works with individuals experiencing difficulties such as aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, cognitive communication difficulties, and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). Her approach is person-centred and focused on practical strategies that support communication, safe swallowing, and participation in everyday life.

Ellie works closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, providing guidance and training so that strategies can be used consistently in daily life. She aims to provide clear, supportive guidance to individuals and families navigating communication and swallowing difficulties.

Ellie is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
